Discover: Research, Innovation & Space

Turn research and frontier technology into programmes that deliver.

The Kingdom is investing in research, space and advanced technology for decades. We connect companies, universities and government to design programmes, win funding, build pilots and show results.

Sound familiar?

  • R&D is expected but no programme exists
  • Grants need partners you don't have
  • A prototype is needed to win support
  • Space rules and buyers are unclear
  • Teams lack practical space and AI know-how

Solutions

Solutions shown are common starting points; Elphly also designs custom scopes within its registered activities.

Wisdom worth keeping

Short lessons from strategy, technology and operations work, worth remembering long after the meeting ends.

  1. Space data is already down to earth.

Satellite imagery helps plan cities, watch over farms and assets, and track environmental change. You do not need your own satellite to use it.

  2. Funders back partnerships.

Research proposals are stronger when industry, universities and public bodies share the goal, the work and a clear route to real use.

  3. Agree on ideas before they exist.

Settle who owns results, who may publish and who may commercialise them before the research starts.

Practical steps you can use this week, whether or not you work with us.

Innovation & R&D Programme Design

Turn ideas into a pipeline

  1. Collect ideas in one shared list with the problem each one solves.
  2. Score them by value and by how quickly you can test them.
  3. Fund the top two for a small, time-boxed experiment with a clear go or stop decision.

For leaders: Treat R&D as a portfolio: expect most experiments to stop, and reward fast, well-documented stops.

Prepare a grant application before the call opens

Keep a one-page project summary: the problem, the method, the team and the expected impact.

Research Partnerships & Grant Proposals

Define what the prototype must prove

Write the one question the prototype must answer, such as "Can it pick up this part reliably?".

Prototype to Pilot (Robotics, AI & Engineering)

Map the space opportunity before investing

List what you could offer: data, services, components or training.

Space Sector Advisory & Market Entry

Ask a question satellite images can answer

Write the decision you need to make, such as where land use has changed.

Earth Observation & Space Data Analytics

Run a one-hour AI learning session for your team

Pick one real task your team does every week.

Space Training & Technology Workshops

Check the evidence before the decision

Write the decision and the three facts it depends on.

Think Tank & Insight Reports

How we deliver

Laboratory work runs in licensed partner facilities engaged for each project, with ethics approval. Satellite operations stay with licensed operators. Accredited certificates, where a programme needs them, come through TVTC-licensed centres engaged for that programme.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with universities?

Yes. We build consortia of universities, companies and public programmes and run the programme office.

Do you offer accredited training?

In space fields, accredited certificates can be arranged through TVTC-licensed centres engaged for the programme. AI and technology sessions are workshops within our projects, without certificates.

Commitment to the Kingdom

Built in Riyadh, for the Kingdom's next chapter.

Elphly is a Saudi-registered company. Its work follows Vision 2030 priorities: business operations and administration, restructuring and financial discipline, governance, risk and compliance, AI and digital government, research and space, and the experience and promotion needs of organisations in the years leading to Expo 2030 and the 2034 World Cup.
